Over 3,200 Horsepower: Why The Executioner is the Ultimate Diesel Racing Engine
In the world of diesel racing, "factory limits" are meant to be broken. But when you’re pushing the boundaries of physics, eventually the stock components, even with the legendary Cummins platform, reach a breaking point.
At D&J Precision Machine, we realized that to take performance to the next level, we couldn't just modify what existed. We had to build something entirely new from the ground up.
DRUM ROLL…
Enter: The Executioner.
A Partnership of Power
The Executioner was born out of a collaboration between D&J Precision Machine and the experts at Firepunk Diesel. The goal was simple, but ambitious: create a diesel engine capable of surviving the most extreme racing conditions while delivering numbers that were previously thought to be impossible.
The result? An engine with over 3,200 horsepower and 3,300 lb-ft of torque.
Re-Engineering the Block
Standard cast iron blocks have their limits. To solve this, we used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to design a billet aluminum block. This isn't just a shiny piece of metal, it’s a reinforced powerhouse featuring a steel bed plate and critical reinforcement points.
This design allows the Executioner to provide an incredible one million pounds of clamping force, ensuring that the engine stays together even when boost pressures reach 200 psi.
What’s Under the Hood?
The Executioner is a 408 CID (Cubic Inch Displacement) masterpiece. It’s truly a work of art. Every component has been meticulously selected or designed/ manufactured in house to ensure maximum durability.
-
Winberg Crankshaft & X Beam Rods: Crafted for strength to handle massive torque.
-
Forged Steel Ring Land (FSR) Pistons: Developed over years of refinement to withstand the heat and pressure of high performance diesel combustion.
-
24 Valve Aluminum Cylinder Head: A lightweight, high flow design that uses aerospace inspired sealing technology. This means the gaskets will not fail, even under 200 psi of boost.
-
Patent Pending Exhaust Ports: Our unique 12 port design optimizes flow like never before, paired with a custom billet timing gear housing.
Built for the Track, Backed by Experts
We worked with industry leaders like Exergy Performance for fuel system efficiency and Fluidampr to perfect engine harmonics. Every Executioner engine is manufactured right here in the USA, ensuring that when you line up at the tree, you have the best of American engineering behind you.
