Awesome product for my truck
This cover is a solid solution, 0 leaks, baffle system works great!
I had a small integration issue with my rig, not related to the D&J product.
On my 2014 Ram 6.7 Cummins – CCV Sensor Solution with D&J Billet Rocker Cover (NOT Deleted)
Posting this to help anyone running into CCV codes after installing a billet rocker/valve cover.
Truck: 2014 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins Status: NOT deleted
Cover: D&J billet rocker cover
After installing the D&J billet cover, I ran into a CCV fault — mainly P04E4. The D&J cover does not have provisions for the factory CCV pressure sensors, and I learned the hard way that these sensors are pressure‑based and require variable data.
What didn’t work
Leaving the CCV sensors open to atmosphere
Plugging or capping the sensors
In both cases, the ECM was unhappy because the signal was flat or implausible. These are not simple on/off sensors — the ECM expects changing crankcase pressure data.
What worked:
I created a pressure reference using real crankcase pressure:
Ran a 3/8" hose upward from the crankcase oil drain inlet near the CP3 pump (this port sees true crankcase pressure).
Routed the hose upward toward the hood seal area.
Installed a tee fitting:
One side to the rear CCV pressure sensor using ~3" hose
The other side to the front CCV pressure sensor using ~4.5" hose
Both sensors now see shared, variable crankcase pressure instead of atmosphere.
Result
✅ P04E4 cleared
✅ No tuning required
✅ ECM now sees rational, variable data
✅ Truck runs normally with no CCV‑related codes
Notes
This keeps the truck emissions‑intact and ECM‑happy
Use oil‑resistant hose (CCV vapor will attack cheap rubber)
Secure lines so they cannot kink or collapse
Posting this strictly as what worked on my truck, but hopefully it helps anyone else running a billet rocker cover on a non‑deleted 6.7.
The D&J cover is remarkable!
The product is great. No complaints. Not happy I had to wait close to 2 months to receive it, then the hose to vent wasn’t in the package…the customer service guy was super nice and helpful the whole way though.
