D&J Precision Machine understands value, and that some of our customers may enjoy rebuilding their own engines. With that in mind, we present a budget-friendly alternative to our full in-house engine builds.
We apply our years of machining experience and expertise to our new product offering, the D&J HP Reman Block.
We offer options on this block setup that range from stock to a stout reliable towing setup.
All blocks are rigorously inspected and graded in our core department for any defects or cracks.
We then process the blocks in our high-temperature oven to ensure there is no oil or gasket residue remains on the block.
Then the block is then steel shot blasted and is again cleaned until the block meets our strict inspection standards.
The next process for the block is on our Hurco machine where it is expertly bored, and the deck resurfaced. Most blocks are bored and have an average of +.020 over stock. As you can imagine, after years of use it is very uncommon to find a standard bore 5.9 or 6.7-liter block in a condition that will meet our exacting standards. Most importantly, We will only ship a block we feel comfortable selling to our customers.
All of our blocks are then CNC honed to Cummins spec. with a torque plate.
Every block gets the main bearing clearance measured with stock or aftermarket fasteners, and line honed as needed.
When the machine work is completed, new cam bushing is installed into the block and sent through our state-of-the-art custom parts washer which utilizes high-pressure water nozzles paired with cleaning agents to final wash and clean the block.
